Teddy

I asked him if I could photographed him. He nodded affirmatively. How beautiful he was! He shook his head like old men do, who still carry life only in their eyes, like those who have seen many sorrows and passed through vast shrubbery of awakening. I wonder where do they still find will to put on old, worn out, but always polished shoes and move the locomotive that is barely tracking the rails? He had a cap on his head, a bag in his hand, a large, embracing a big teddy bear, and so he went down the street. He was carrying it for his granddaughters’ birthday, along the way he stopped in the bakery to buy doughnuts. In that moment, I wished to be five years old and to be his granddaughter, under the morning Orion, wrapped with love and warmth of a big teddy bear.
